Students who want to study dentistry for free are in luck: The federal government has issued a grant program that will help students who need anesthesia to be able to complete their studies.
The $500 million Daca program will provide scholarships to qualified students who are enrolled in programs that have received a waiver from the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services.
The federal grant program will allow students to complete two years of college-level study in dental practice, with up to $5,000 for each year of study, according to the Department of Education’s Office of Educational Programs.
Students with disabilities, students who live in public housing and students with disabilities who live outside of the United States can apply to apply to the program.
The department will award grants to eligible students who meet certain criteria, including, but not limited to, academic ability, financial need, and family hardship.
The program will open in 2019 and will be funded through the Office for Civil Rights.
Students who qualify will have the option to take the program on by the end of 2021.
The program is expected to be operational by 2022.
